Ever since Noda Beika started manufacturing arare rice crackers some 80 eighty years ago, we have been producing in small quantities, while bearing in mind to reflect our customers’ voices in the development of new products.
All of the products are manufactured in our own factory and sold mainly at the nearby retail store or through our online shop.
Our arare crackers are toasted thoroughly using an authentic stone oven to give a crispy texture. Also, our products are a healthy snack since they are not oil-fried and are therefore low in oil content.
Shiga habutae mochi, one of the most prestigious brands of glutinous rice in Japan, is used together with other ingredients that are 100% grown and produced in Japan, including shrimps, seaweeds, burdocks, and chili pepper.
Our specialist confectioners spend a week’s time to prepare the dough of arare, after which water content is removed gradually over three days to dry the dough. The final amount of moisture is then adjusted according to the climatic conditions.
We are also open to flexible arrangements for OEM production.
